Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager shall be the Contractor's primary point of contact for all matters pertaining to this task order and shall bear ultimate responsibility for the project ensuring requirements described in the SOW are met. The Project Manager shall be responsible for the facilitation and coordination of efforts to assist the Zambian Defense Force in Sub-Saharan Africa in procurement and maintenance of a reliable fleet of Armored Personnel Carriers.

This position is in anticipation of a contract award. Please note the location of this position will be in Zambia full-time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist and oversee the delivery of APCs to the ZDF
  • Advise on logistical management and delivery practices
  • Assist with planning of instruction programs to utilize the APCs and maintain them
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience managing projects of at least $5 million involving equipment procurement and training in an austere environment.
  • Minimum of one year experience working in sub-Saharan Africa and/or similar environment(s).
  • Experience with developing Programs of Instruction (POIs) for military partners in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Bachelor's degree.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
