Join our 38 bed - level III Emergency Department sits 2 blocks from one of Southern California's most beautiful beaches. It boasts a family atmosphere with a leadership team that has been here for several years. The unit is self-scheduling with flexibility. The right fit will be a team player who is eager to learn, has experience in a fast-paced ER, outgoing and not afraid to work hard.

The Patient Care Supervisor in the Emergency Services responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety
  • Working under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, the supervisor will share leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans.
  • Ensuring appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology and adherence to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge.
  • Ensuring the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.

This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $8K .

  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Current California RN license.
  • Two years applicable clinical experience in an adult Emergency Department as an RN
  • One year experience in a leadership role (Including Charge).
  • Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS for Healthcare Provider.
  • Excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
  • Graduate of an accredited program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • CEN - Certified Emergency Nursing
