The Sr. Manager SCC FP&A will be responsible for financial analysis, management reporting, planning, and forecasting and ad hoc analysis for the SCC COGS and Product Development departments including capital expenditures. This position will also coordinate key activities across the sites.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the budget and forecasting process for SCC commercial products:
    • Interact with SCC dept managers and leaders to prepare annual budget and latest estimates
    • Document and understand assumptions, risks, and opportunities
    • Prepare documentation, including presentations, trend, and variance analysis
    • Support Dir. SCC site Controller with LRP assumptions and documentation
  • Finance Liaison with Pacira SCC management:
    • Assist with the facilitation of contract review and accurate coding of purchase requisitions and whether budgeted
    • Review significant invoices and support resolution of invoicing discrepancies
    • Assist with training the business on financial policies and provide financial support to SCC site decision making
    • Timely review purchase requisitions to ensure accuracy of coding, consistency with budget and business justifications
    • Support the planning, acquisition, accruals, impairment, or disposal of fixed assets
    • Provide insight on cost savings activities and lead cost reduction initiatives
  • Manage the month-end close process for operations including:
    • Interact with SCC department owners to determine and prepare monthly accruals & prepaids
    • Prepare assigned account reconciliations for accrual & prepaids accounts
    • Prepare spend by department and analysis of budget versus actual including profit review commentary
    • Support detailed Income Statement analytics for cost of goods sold and assist with balance sheet analytic for relevant accounts
    • Prepare, communicate, and present financial results including site Gross Margin analysis, trends, and Key Performance Indicators with explanation of business drivers
    • Develop and document policies and procedures for monthly close. Ensure proper documentation and support is maintained
  • Other:
    • Identify and implement process efficiencies to ensure an efficient and effective close
    • Support ongoing Sarbanes-Oxley internal control testing
    • Liaison with external auditors and other vendors to ensure requests are met timely
    • Other ad hoc analysis and projects as deemed appropriate
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is an individual contributor, (0) direct reports.
Interaction:
Works closely with Accounting, FP&A, auditors and relevant Pacira business partners, and key vendors. Travel is estimated at 5%.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance from accredited college or university
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Manufacturing site preferred, pharmaceutical industry experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • High proficiency in MS Office including Excel (expert level), Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Experience with forecasting software tools (OneStream) a plus
  • General accounting principles and the preparation and implementation of accounting policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated current knowledge of GAAP and SOX with an understanding of internal accounting controls.
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical abilities
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment in a multi-product, multi-site manufacturing organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines

The base pay range for this role in California is $112,000 per year to $154,000 per year.
The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
