Staffmark is coordinating the direct hire of a dedicated Senior Manager of Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) in Escondido, CA. We are looking for passionate individuals who can drive excellence in food safety practices and foster collaboration within our client's team.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $135,000

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in quality assurance management with knowledge of SQF/GFSI standards.
  • Proficient understanding of food safety principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Flexibility to accommodate occasional travel and a willingness to adapt to a dynamic work environment.

The Senior Manager of Food Safety and Quality Assurance will lead a team dedicated to maintaining top-tier food safety and quality assurance. This position will be responsible for driving process improvement and compliance with regulatory standards while supporting cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead FSQA team in problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, SQF, HACCP/HARPC, and other standards.
  • Manage microbiological and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Prepare for and lead plant audits.
  • Develop documentation and training programs.
