We invite you to join our team as a Coordinator supporting the Medical Postgrad Education Department. The GME Coordinator identifies need for, organizes, and carries out or manages the completion of all administrative aspects of GME programs: the marketing of the programs, the selection, recruitment, orientation, department coordination of payroll and benefits plans, scheduling, evaluation, certification, licensing, graduation, social functions, verifying, and documentation pertaining to trainees. Initiates and monitors institutional, program and trainee compliance with the accreditation agencies and other oversight agencies, including reporting to CMS, and with Scripps policies management.
Core responsibilities:
- Manage Scripps Podiatry residency program (12 residents).
- The podiatry program is accredited by CPME (Council for Podiatric Medical Education).
- Serve as backup to internal medicine program coordinator.
- Manage IRIS spreadsheet for Medicare reimbursements.
- Scripps phones - coordinate distribution of Scripps-issued phones to GME house staff.
- Coordinate resident Gellar Awards by gathering poster presentations and prepare podiatry resident for annual scholarly activities.
- Submit access requests for podiatry residents to ensure residents are correctly onboarded to Scripps Health.
- Work alongside colleagues to coordinator details for annual graduation dinner.
- Work alongside colleagues to set up daily meals for afternoon lectures.
Onboard visiting rotators:
- Kaiser Permanente emergency medicine residents (18 residents).
- Onboard 4th year podiatry students completing visiting rotation at Scripps (3-4 students per month).
- Navy - 3rd and 4th year medical students from Bethesda, Maryland completing trauma rotation.
- Navy residents & fellows (multiple).
- Rady Children's Programs: Emergency Medicine (toxicology consults) / Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellows.
