Summary, Primary Duties, Skills and Experience
The Manufacturing Associate performs a wide array of essential functions including assembly, packaging, and light industrial work.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and assemble kit and package cartridges and subcomponents (75%).
  • Control and maintain inventory of raw materials and subassemblies in the lab (5%).
  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning of all equipment and lab space (5%).
  • Ensure production environment and equipment are maintained according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) (5%).
  • Prepare consumable standard operating procedures and batch records and conduct in-process testing (5%).
  • Other duties as assigned (5%).
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Able to be accurate, attentive to details, and to work with limited supervision and independently or within a team environment.
  • Ability to perform tasks that are repetitive and physically demanding.
  • Computer skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel).
  • Works well in small and dynamic settings.
  • Ability to properly handle hazardous materials occasionally under supervision.
Education, Certifications, Licenses
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in life sciences preferred.
  • Years relevant/ total work experience: At least 1 year of work experience in a GMP production environment required.
  • Certifications required/ preferred: N/A

  • Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
    • Sit and stand for prolonged periods
    • Repeating motions that may include the hands, wrists and/or fingers

    • Stand and/or move about the office or in various environments (including tight and confined spaces), or from one worksite to another
    • Specific visual abilities, including close vision and ability to adjust focus, read, review, and assess the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned
    • Verbal abilities require communicating with others to exchange information
    • Occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions
    • Work environment involving low/high temperatures; hazardous conditions, low ventilation, noisy environments, small/enclosed spaces
    • In-person interaction with others indoors
    • Use standard computer, telephone and related equipment for communication, and recordkeeping
